At PPC MICROSMITH we strive to provide our customer's with top of the line support and service. Technicians are available for on-site service and support, and toll-free technical support is also available. Please click on a link below to learn more about our specific service options.

Operatory

Warranty and On Site Service

  1. Our toll-free technical and on site support is available during regular business hours (Between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Statutory holidays excluded.). 24-Hour service coverage is available for a fee. If you are considering the purchase of our emergency after hours service please call our office so that we may tailor the contract to be sensitive to your office's operating hours.
  2. If a problem should arise at your office, please direct your staff to contact our service department toll-free at 1-800-472-4793. Please note: it is in your best interest to assign the duty of "IT coordinator" to one or two people. These individuals should be responsible for contacting our office in the event of system malfunction, as well as general maintenance such as daily system backup and verification.
  3. If we are unable to solve the problem over the telephone, a technician will be radio dispatched to your office to remedy the situation. We are committed to arriving within 4 hours of a service call being placed in an emergency situation, meaning that your network is totally non-functional. Otherwise, we strive to provide next day service.
  4. Should a problem arise at your office, whether you believe it to be hardware related or software related, we urge you to contact PPC Microsmith first to determine if the problem is in fact related to your practice management software. PPC will then contact your software vendor on your behalf to initiate the software support process.
  5. The system price on the new computer and networking equipment you purchase from PPC Microsmith includes a One-Year On Site Warranty on all Parts and Labour. This means that regardless of the component that fails you will incur no additional charges for the service call.
  6. The warranty contract excludes the following: printer consumables (i.e.: paper, ink, toners) theft, damage, fire, vandalism, batteries (in any cordless keyboard or mouse) and other non-component related equipment. The contract does include labour, shipping, all hardware components within the computer, network cabling, patch cables, (printer, mouse, modem, etc.).
  7. Please note that hardware replacement from PPC Microsmith, unlike many of our competitors, goes well beyond simply replacing a faulty component but includes restoring your office to "normal" as it was before the interruption. For example: In the event of a hard drive failure, PPC will not only replace the faulty drive but also restore the data from the tape and get your office running the way it was, as if the failure had never occurred.
