Backup Solutions

There are many methods of backing up your system including: Tape back-up, Writeable CD ROM, DVD, etc.

Many people are concerned with only backing up their data. In a worst case scenario, your hard drive fails and you at least have the data from whatever programs you have been using. This is not so bad if you only have one or two computers and have a fairly simple configuration in your office. This type of backup becomes a problem when you have a great deal of customization done to your system such as printer configurations, shared resources, many different applications, remote access software etc. that will all have to be reinstalled and reconfigured before you can return to normal operation. Even with the proper equipment and all your disks and manuals for your equipment and software this can be a very lengthy process, during which you are unable to work.
